3 Your licence to the app
When you get Tondo, we grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use it on compatible devices you own or control, in line with the applicable platform store’s usage rules. The app, its name, design and code remain ours; please do not copy, resell, reverse-engineer or redistribute it, except where the law expressly allows.
4 Purchases through Apple and Google
Apple handles purchases made through the App Store under the terms shown for your store. Apple’s Standard EULA governs the app licence on Apple devices. These terms supplement it for our services without limiting mandatory rights. Refund requests can be made at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Google Play handles purchases through its billing system. Refund eligibility follows the purchase and applicable rules; see Google Play’s refund policy. You can also contact support@tondomakers.com about a purchase problem. Your statutory rights against the responsible seller or provider remain unchanged.
A one-time purchase unlocks the features shown on the purchase screen without a recurring charge. The store displays the price before you confirm. Family Sharing applies only to eligible Apple purchases where enabled. A purchase does not transfer between Apple and Google Play. Use the restore option with the store account that made the purchase.
For Tondo website purchases, Oomny B.V. supplies the licence and Lava processes payment. For buyers outside Russia, Stripe processes the payment in euros instead: in the EU, Oomny B.V. remains the seller; outside the EU, Stripe sells the licence as a reseller through Link (Stripe Managed Payments) and handles local taxes. Within 14 days of a website purchase you get a full refund on request, without giving a reason. The checkout shows the total price and currency before payment. This is a one-time payment, not a subscription. The licence belongs to the purchasing Tondo account: use the same sign-in method in the app or explicitly link another supported method. Apple Family Sharing does not apply to website purchases. The app verifies a website licence online and can retain its signed confirmation for up to seven days of offline use; reconnect to refresh it. Deleting your Tondo account ends account access; contact support about an existing website purchase before creating a replacement account. For purchase problems or a refund request, contact support@tondomakers.com. Your mandatory consumer rights remain unchanged.
5 Your data is yours
What you create in Tondo is kept on your device and, where offered, in your own iCloud. A Tondo account is optional for ordinary app use and store purchases, and required for a website licence. Signing in alone uploads no projects; Tondo sync requires a separate explicit choice. The app’s data flows are described in our privacy policy and its platform store privacy disclosures.
When you share content or record information about someone else, you are responsible for having any permission you need, and for the accuracy of what you produce in the app.
Joining the Tondo community is optional and requires an account, being at least 16, and accepting these terms and the community rules. Do not post unlawful, harassing, hateful, sexual, violent or misleading content, or spam. Never present generated or edited images as photographs of real finished work. Label previews as previews. Publish designs only if you hold publication rights; crediting a designer does not grant distribution rights. You retain ownership and grant Oomny B.V. a non-exclusive licence to store your shared content and show it to authorised members. You may remove posts. Withdrawn designs remain accessible to members who already claimed them, subject to enforcement of rights.
A profile photo follows the same rules. Show only what you have the right to share: no other people without their consent, and no logos or trademarks you do not own. Members can report a profile photo, and we may remove it.
We filter text and apply automated holds. We may remove content or suspend accounts. Members can report misleading presentation and rights infringements and block other members. You can appeal to support@tondomakers.com, our DSA contact point for users and authorities (English or Dutch). Anyone may report illegal content there with its location, reasons, their name and email address, and a good-faith statement. Rights claims can also be submitted in the app. We acknowledge notices, assess them, explain decisions where contact is possible and review objections.
6 Generated content
Tondo recognises printed charts on your device. On supported Apple devices, an on-device model can help match ambiguous symbols. Photo-to-pattern converts colours by calculation; on Apple devices, optional background removal uses Apple’s on-device subject detection. These results can be wrong or incomplete; check the pattern, symbols and thread choices before relying on them.
7 Using this website
You may use this site for your own information. Please don’t misuse it — no attempts to break, overload, scrape at scale, or gain unauthorised access to it or to anyone’s data. The content, design, names and logos on this site are ours or our licensors’ and are protected by intellectual-property law; you may not reuse them without permission.
8 Conformity and what we can’t promise
We provide Tondo and this website with reasonable skill and care, and keep Tondo in conformity with what we describe — including the updates, security updates among them, needed for it to keep working as described for a reasonable time. This is in addition to your statutory rights for digital content under EU and Dutch law.
That said, no software is perfect. The apps and this website are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent the law allows, not with guarantees of uninterrupted perfection. Nothing here excludes or limits any warranty or right that may not lawfully be excluded or limited, including your mandatory rights as a consumer.
9 Limitation of liability
Our responsibility for loss or damage is determined by applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for intent or gross negligence. Contact support@tondomakers.com if the app does not work as promised.
10 Apple
For apps obtained through Apple’s App Store, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Apple is not responsible for the app or its support; we are.
11 Governing law
Dutch law applies. If you are a consumer, you retain the mandatory protections and the right to bring proceedings in the courts available to you under applicable consumer law, including in your country of residence where that law provides. These terms do not require you to give up those rights.
12 Changes
If we change these terms we will update this page and the date at the top.
